Operating at 27 sites across metropolitan and country WA, we understand that people are the key to ensuring quality both in service delivery and in cultivating a positive work place culture.We are currently seeking a Registered or Enrolled Nurse for this newly created role. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating and implementing a comprehensive organisation-wide infection control, prevention and surveillance program.
Key Responsibilities of this role:
In collaboration with the Manager, Care Systems establish, implement, maintain and evaluate an effective and appropriate infection control prevention and surveillance program across UCH
Chair the Infection Control Committee and liaise with and provide support, advice and direction to site Infection Control Link Persons.
Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures in relation to infection control and prevention
Through quality assurance processes assist Managers to meet all accreditation and legislative requirements in relation to infection controlKey Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse with current APHRA registration (essential)
Graduate or Post-Graduate Qualifications in Infection Control would be highly regarded
Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of contemporary evidence based practice in Infection Control
Experience working in an aged care environment
Demonstrated broad infection practical competence and experience
Experience in the implementation of continuous improvement activitiesWhat’s on offer:
