    As a world leader in eye, ear, nose and throat services, the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital is now at the cutting edge of research and teaching. This is supported through its close association with the University of Melbourne Departments of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology which are co-located with the Hospital.     The Hospital is committed to safety, quality and proactive risk management in order to excel in patient and family centred care. We participate in the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standard (“the Standards”) and this position is to assist with meeting the objectives to improve care delivery in accordance with National Standard 3, Preventing and Controlling Healthcare Associated Infections.

    This part time position of 32 hr per week is aimed to ensure the Infection Control Program and core actions to meet the Standards are effectively delivered in consultation with the Infection Control Committee and all appropriate stake-holders.
