    Dear all,

I am wondering if you could assist with a query,

We have been experiencing issues with increased temperatures and humidity in the Operating Theatres at one of our facilities.

The humidity is now above the ACORN Standards for Perioperative Nursing in Australia 14th Edition at 68% which has led to closure of the theatres.

I would very grateful for guidance or suggested advice on the following

Can we position a mobile de-humidifier in the Operating Room, as an interim measure to deal with the humidity, whilst investigating external attachment of a de-humidifier to the air-conditioning units?

Can we insert a de-humidifier into the wall of the Operating Room instead of an external attachment to the air-conditioning unit?

    Many thanks

    Helen Truscott
