    Hello Brains trust

    Happy New year to you all ..!! my gosh if February already!!??

    Just wondering of anyone has any info or is currently using UV HLD for the reprocessing of rectal ultrasound devices for use in the operating theatre.
    Our organisation is wanting to look to this process to improve current OT reprocessing efficiency & meet our current case load requirements but I just haven’t found enough information around effectiveness against enteric organisms ( the info is for blood contamination largely given the ASUM advice around U/S reprocessing ) ..current data indicates that they are tested against the following BACTERIA:
    * Salmonella enterica
    * Staphylococcus aureus
    * Pseudomonas aeruginosa

    Not being a reprocessing guru I was wondering what the advice is out there currently -I am happy to be contacted off line if anyone has some time to help me

    Kind regards

    Lindy
