I am interested to know whether your hospitals have in place specific guidelines for environmental dust cleaning of protective isolation rooms for immunocompromised patients (e.g. those with prolonged neutropenia) from the infection control perspective. Our haematology colleagues have expressed concerned that such cleaning might pose a risk of fungal infections to the patients who are using or will be using the room shortly afterwards due to the generation of air-borne dust particles. Any thoughts from the group will be much appreciated. Thanks!
Best regards,
