Fwd: Re Flushing sinks

Hello Everyone,
We are doing a Maternity refurbishment, and the Maternity Manager & architect are pushing for a flushing sink.
Does anyone have an opinion on these, to me they are just a modernised slice.
Am I correct in my thoughts or just over reactive?
