    Heads up for the next RSPH webinar. Looks interesting as they will be discussing NTMs in HCUs, and water for endoscopic reprocessing, both topics which have some resonance with us here in ANZ.

    Just a reminder that the webinar will be available for public access for 24 hours from the time of the live webinar, after which it will be available to RSPH members only; you will need to register prior to the webinar to receive access after the webinar.

    Speaker: Dr Mark Garvey, Principal Clinical Scientist in Infection Control at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust

    This free webinar will discuss maintaining healthcare water quality and trying to prevent transmission of water pathogens such as atypical Mycobacteria.

    The talk will primarily focus on water for special use in a healthcare setting and the problems water borne micro-organisms present.

    Specific examples of problems dealing with medical equipment include Mycobacterium chimaera in Heater Cooler Units and management in an endoscopy unit as well as in a healthcare environment.

    This webinar is part of a series of webinars from RSPH’s Water Special Interest Group. A series of past water webinars can be accessed from our RSPH members area.
