Dear All,A reminder (if you have not already) to register for the Victorian Antimicrobial Stewardship Forum – Wednesday 15th November 2017
Safer Care Victoria will be hosting the Victorian Antimicrobial Stewardship Forum in November this year. This One Health themed event is intended to raise awareness of the issues and work being done around antimicrobial resistance and stewardship, and is timed to coincide with World Antibiotic Awareness Week. All human and animal health clinicians, scientists and others with an interest in antimicrobial resistance and stewardship are invited to attend.
Date/time: Wednesday 15th November, 2017, from 10am to 3.30pm
The program, attached below, will feature speakers including:
Victoria’s Deputy Chief Health Officer, Communicable Diseases, Dr Brett Sutton, Commonwealth Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr Mark Schipp & Victorian Chief Veterinary Officer, Prof Charles Milne, Dr Jonathan Dartnell, NPS MedicineWise, Prof Karin Thursky, Director National Centre for Antimicrobial Stewardship, Dr Jason Trubiano, Director of Antimicrobial Stewardship and Antibiotic Allergy Services, Austin Health, and more.
The program will also include a panel discussion on what/who influences antimicrobial prescribing decisions.
