Dear Infection Prevention and Control Colleagues,
An Australian and New Zealand Infection Prevention and Control Research Team
are collaborating with Dr Sanja Saint (
http://www.med.umich.edu/sharp/sanjaysaint.htm )and his team at the
University of Michigan Health System to repeat their survey “Preventing
Hospital-acquired Infections: A National Survey of Practices”
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22143455 .The survey looks at the level of adoption of key practices in patient safety
relating to the prevention of healthcare associated infections(HAIs). This
is the first time the survey will be undertaken in Australian and New
Zealand and we are looking forward to your participation. The survey has
been approved by the Ethics Committee of the University of NSW.The online survey should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. There
are no right or wrong answers.Who should respond to the survey?
*If there is MORE THAN ONE ICP/Infection Control Consultant at your
healthcare facility, then the person who is the manager and supervises
and/or coordinates the other INFECTION CONTROL PRACTITIONERS/CONSULTANTS
should complete the survey.* If you work for a healthcare service where ICPs/Infection Control
Consultant are responsible for MORE THAN ONE FACILITY, please respond to all
of the survey questions with respect to the primary ACUTE CARE facility at
which you work and answer only for care associated with ADULT patients.Click here for survey link
