NEW COURSE: EPI Analytics Virtual Learning Lab: Effectively Using Data

    October 27, 2014 through December 12, 2014
    IP Competency: Novice
    Nursing contact hours: 12-15
    Cost: $150 APIC Member / $225 Nonmember

This new, virtual, instructor led class, made possible by an unrestricted educational grant from Covidien, is designed to help novice IPs build competency in the use and application of a variety of types of data, integrate NHSN into a comprehensive data management approach, strengthen HAI prevention and reduction metrics, ensure compliance with mandatory HAI reporting requirements, and support readiness for board certification.

    What to Expect:
Everything in the Data Learning Lab will be done virtually, from listening to speakers to doing your assignments. Each of the classs six modules follow this pattern:

    Pre-Work
Before each class, you will have a chance to get familiar with content through things like recommended readings and videos.

    Virtual Class
Your week starts with a 90-minute Virtual-Instructor-Led class (see schedule online). The instructor will start class by looking at the previous weeks class and homework, then talk about that weeks content.

    Homework
Each week, you will have a homework assignment to let you apply concepts presented during the class. Assessments may include, but are not limited to, test questions, at-work projects, and videos.
