Hi Steve,Following our contact – invite as below
SHEA Invites Applicants for the 2016 International Ambassador Program
Applications are now being accepted until Friday, December 11, 2015.
In its eighth year, the International Ambassadors Program (IAP) builds collaborative relationships between U.S. and international healthcare professionals with expertise in healthcare epidemiology and infection prevention. The International Ambassadors Program seeks candidates with 5 – 20 years of experience in order to allow for those more advanced in their career to attend as well. Applicants from emerging economies will be given higher priority than those from Western Europe and other developed international communities.
Since 2009, SHEA has partnered with 3M to benefit the international community of those dedicated to infection prevention through our International Ambassadors Program. In 2015, this program was updated to allow for more Ambassadors to benefit from exposure to large US conferences dedicated to infection prevention and control. Selected ambassadors will attend the SHEA Spring 2016 Conference for training and will be provided a one-year complimentary SHEA membership to foster networking and expose them to SHEA’s journal and other educational opportunities that can promote knowledge dissemination. A total of 18 Ambassadors will be selected in 2016 and will be provided a $3,000 travel grant to cover the costs of attending the meeting.
Response to the International Ambassadors Program has been noteworthy since its inception: over 430 applicants from around the world have sought a place in this elite group. To date, SHEA has welcomed 80 Ambassadors representing forty-one countries (Argentina, Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Chile, China, Colombia, Egypt, England, Ethiopia, Ecuador, Ghana, Greece, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Korea, Lebanon, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Morocco, Namibia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Sudan, Thailand, Togo, and Vietnam,).
SHEA will accept applications for the 2016 International Ambassadors Program until December 11, 2015.For more information, please visit the links below or email ambassadors@shea-online.org.
