    Dear All,

    Those involved in the sampling, reporting and ongoing monitoring of
    Heater-Cooler units will find the attached article of interest which found
    that “Despite intensified cleaning and disinfection, surveillance samples
    from factory-new units acquired during 2014 grew nontuberculous mycobacteria
    after a median of 174 days……..Prolonged testing seems necessary for
    excluding presence of M. chimaera or other NTM”.
