    How to get involved in World Hand Hygiene Day, 5 May 2021

    Dear Friends and Colleagues,
    The World Health Organization is inviting you to actively participate in the annual SAVE LIVES: Clean Your Hands campaign to be celebrated on World Hand Hygiene Day, 5 May 2021, and is asking your invaluable support to promote the WHO.
    You can find:

    *The description of the campaign theme, key objectives, and slogan here, including a video from the WHO Deputy Director-General and myself;
    *The actions people can take to get involved can be found here;
    *Many tools for the campaign’s target audiences can also be found within the above web pages.

    A summary is also provided in our latest newsletter, as well as in an advocacy presentation downloadable here.
    We would also like to ask you to:

    *Get personally involved;
    *Send communications within your facility/organization and through your networks promoting the campaign theme, slogan, and calls to action and pointing them to our web pages and resources (i.e. the links above);
    *Display the web banner (downloadable here) and/or feature the link to the WHO campaign on your web pages;
    *Promote registration of health care facilities in the campaign;
    *Promote participation in the Faces of the Campaign initiative, and in the 5 May events (explained here) through your social media networks;
    *Let the WHO know about your actions by sending an email to savelives@who.int – they will be delighted!

    Many thanks in advance.

    Best wishes,
    Didier Pittet
