    Hello,
I would like to ask my Australian colleagues if anyone would be willing to share their protocol for frequency of testing and interpretation of results from an automated endoscope reprocessor (AFER). The GENCA guidelines advise monthly testing but do not include a flow diagram for interpretation of results and subsequent actions arising from positive AFER microbiological samples – although it does state growth of Pseudomonas spp. or other non- fermentative gram-negative bacilli the immediate responses should include removing the AFER and endoscope from service ..

    Thanks
    Ruth
