    Good morning,

    Today, the first edition of Infection, Disease and Health was launched online on Science Direct. http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/24680451 This is a significant milestone for the journal. All articles in the first edition are freely available.
    The articles also appear on the branded website for the journal http://www.idhjournal.com.au

    You can follow updates on articles, including notifications when new articles first go online by following the journal on Twitter – @IHDjournal

    The journal has some notable inclusions:

    * As a hybrid journal authors can choose to submit their papers open access if they wish. During 2016 ACIPC members will receive a 50% discount when submitting to Infection, Disease & Health – if they chose to publish open access.

    * Share Links allow authors to give everyone they choose 50 days free access to their newly published article – share with your peers, or send it viral on social media

    * Fast review speed – just four weeks from submission to first decision

    * Global readership – hosted on ScienceDirect, licensed to 30,000 top institutes around the world with over 15 million researchers and practitioners

    * Speedy publication – just 4 weeks from submission to first decision and just two weeks between acceptance and your article being published online (and citable)

    * Broad international scope

    There are plans to continue to develop and enhance the readership of the journal this year.

    I encourage you to submit your work to the journal. We have a wide variety of options available, including correspondence/letters to the editor, short reports and of course full research papers.

    Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

    Regards

    Brett
