Good morning
The Clinical Excellence Commission has a temporary (1 year) full time project officer role within the Healthcare Associated Infections Program.
The Project Officer, Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) manages the development, implementation, evaluation and refinement of activities and initiatives in the HAI Program to improve the safety and quality of healthcare. The Project Officer, HAI is responsible for managing a range of activities including undertaking reviews of evidence, providing expert input to Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC) initiatives, and development of resources and reports based on new and emerging evidence. The position is also responsible for project management regarding HAI initiatives including project planning, stakeholder negotiations, milestone reporting and administrative and other ancillary projects support.

Selection Criteria
1. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, and demonstrated experience, skills and knowledge in the principles of quality improvement and safety in healthcare.
2. Demonstrated understanding of HAI principles in the context of quality and safety, including evidence-based strategies for effective change management.
3. Demonstrated experience in leading successful projects to improve outcomes for patients including the management of multiple and concurrent projects with conflicting milestones and deadlines.
4. Demonstrated experience in implementing healthcare quality improvement initiatives and fostering a systematic collaborative approach to improving patient outcomes.
5. Strong analytical skills including the demonstrated ability to analyse and interpret complex information rapidly and accurately; and prepare and present analysis and reports, apply innovative approaches, and achieve customer-focused results.
6. Demonstrated stakeholder management skills including experience liaising and influencing stakeholders to promote, communicate and implement change and improvement initiatives.
7. Computer literate with demonstrated experience with experience conducting database searches and grey-literature scans using a variety of resources to undertake world-wide literature searches.
8. Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills with experience liaising and developing relationships with staff from varying levels and of various disciplines.Thanks
