Dear Colleagues,
We have Controlled Environment Flexible Endoscope storage cupboards with the air continually piped through scope. These are validated for 7 days of storage.
Does anyone have any advice as to how these scopes should be managed after not being reprocessed during the 3 week closure over Christmas/New Year. Should we:
* Reprocess with Automated Flexible Endoscope Reprocessor (AFER) and then use scope
* Reprocess with AFER then micro-test before using scope
* Or do we need to do something else to them?
Does anyone have any experience in this situation?
Regards
Louise Grant PhD Cand, MCl Sc(Periop)
