    Dear All,

We are in the process of building a hybrid theatre and with our previous theatres we had automatic sensor doors. These were disconnected as the doors would swing open when a staff member walked past which is not appropriate during a theatre case!

The builder has suggested knee pads which are used to release the theatre doors as they are hands free. The Director and Theatre manager are not keen. Does anyone use these? and how do they find them?

Hands free would be fabulous but can we use push button to trigger the door release? Is there any regulations relating to theatre door opening, being hands free?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Kind Regards,

    Holly
