Dear ICPs
FYI we have an Editorial coming out in the American Journal of Infection Control (in press and accessible via doi: 10.1016/j.ajic.2015.12.034) discussing amendments to several current doffing sequences for PPE after caring for a wet Ebola patient. There is no evidence for mode of acquisition by HCWs for Ebola our modifications are based on precautionary logic of protecting the mucous membranes, most likely entry point, from contaminated equipment to the very last doffing step.
