    Gday all

    In complying with AS4187 with regard to steam purity from a central system, the table in EN285 requires very low silicates and phosphate levels.

    Given the high silicate levels in most Australian water, do you know if most hospitals actually comply with this table? Or do all of them use RO water to generate steam?

    If theres no staining or pitting corrosion of the instruments do we need absolute compliance?

    I dont believe this is a sterility issue.

    Would appreciate your thoughts?
