    Hi All,

Seeking advice on what is happening at other organisation for patients that require surgery and are COVID positive. Our current policy, patients are transferred via a particular route, lifts locked down then cleaned after transfer complete. Patient transferred to pre op holding to then be escorted into the ‘COVID’ theatre by the airway team( anaesthetic team !!!!) intubated/airway management in OT pre and post op and recovered in the OT roo, all with appropriate PPE and negative pressure.

Issues are that not all steps being followed, we’re just wondering what everyone e;se is doing and that we are not over or under doingit?

    Thanks
    Jayne

    Hi all
In Fiji, we have developed a 1 page SOP on the Internal Transfer of COVID
    Patients.
This SOP is shared with all staff and to operationalize its
    implementation and people adhere
We also need the IPC team and Security to supervise its implementation
    Thanks

    Hi Jayne,

That is the general process that we are following. With the patient transferred straight to the ‘COVID’ theatre and recovered there before going back to the ward.

    Kind regards,
