COVID-19 Tasmania North West Regional Hospital Outbreak Interim Report

Hi all,

The attached document was released to the public today. It documents the
preliminary investigations and recommendations into the NWRH outbreak in
Tasmania where a large number of staff were infected with coronavirus.

The epi curve is on page 12.

The Director of Public Health, Dr Mark Veitch, has made recommendations on
page 16.

The Chief Medical Officer, Prof Tony Lawler, has made recommendations on
page 18 onwards.

This is a useful case study for us in terms of the origins, prevention and
management of an outbreak in the hospital setting in one jurisdiction.
