The COVID-19 CDNA National Guidelines for Public Health Units (COVID-19 SoNG) v2.10 has just been published: https://www1.health.gov.au/internet/main/publishing.nsf/Content/cdna-song-novel-coronavirus.htm
The main endorsed changes in this iteration include:
– Inclusion of serology in the confirmed and probable case definitions.
– Inclusion of testing advice for organ donors and recipients (Enhanced testing section and Appendix E).
– Updated recommendations on infection prevention and control precautions for specimen collection.
– Updated guidance on laboratory testing.
– Inclusion of definition for a COVID-19 death (case management section).
– Inclusion of advice for correctional and detention facilities (special risk settings section).
– Updated terminology from social distancing to physical distancing.
– The addition of new appendices:
o Appendix C PHU Checklist
o Appendix D Risk assessment and identification of close contacts in aircrew
o Appendix E Organ donation and transplantation
Changes from the last version have been highlighted.
