    Dear all

    I would like to make a “go to” kit for my small private hospital is SA. Currently we do not expect to admit any COVID19 patients and have taken as many measures to prevent the occurrence of COVID19 within our walls – however I would like to develop a kit that can be organized and ready to use should a suspected case appear

    I imagine it would contain

    * SA health Pathology forms- I would love a laminated guide to use as a tool as to what to write on the request

    * Swabs

    * Mask

    * Gloves

    * Face shield

    Can anyone provide more information?
    Has anyone got a kit made up that they would be willing to share

    Kindest Regards

    Hi Deborah

    You would also need gown and maybe a head cap/hat to cover hair.

    Hi re: eyewear,
    I suppose this may not be possible in a larger organisation but if you can get the staff to acquire their own protective eyewear and therefore be responsible for handling, cleaning and storing it then you eliminate many of your cross-contamination potential issues.
    You can give them the policy/procedure on how they do manage their own eyewear.
    In dental practice wearing protective eyewear is normal practice and the staff are given their own eyewear (which we acquire and pay for) and they look after their own eyewear and safety better. e.g instead of trying to get a central pool.
