Commissioning of operating theatres etc

Dear All

I realise that air sampling is a ritual we go through that has a dubious rationale…
I would be grateful if you might share your current practice please, including what thresholds are used for total bacterial and fungal counts etc.
Any recent instructive references or standards would be valuable
We are about to embark on commissioning of a large new site
