    Is this what you are talking about especially the water draining from the jets, they should be installed according to Australian Standard AS 3861 to ensure this occurs.

    We were told that using chlorine damaged the pumps.

    We were using a commercial product called Spa-genie* (Barwon Cleaning Supplies) that was “degreaser” and sanitiser- it is put into a full bath and the spa turned on- it moves a lot of the proteaceous material – (a scary amount the first couple of times)
