Good Afternoon
We are interested in identifying the number of staff assigned within an ICU for cleaning.
Would you be able to provide the following information:
Number of ICU beds:
Number of cleaners rostered each shift- AM: PM: Night:
Number of ward assistants or PSAs each shift – AM: PM: Night
Do your cleaners clean beds?
Do your ward assistants or PSAs have a cleaning role? If yes please describe briefly:
What cleaning are nurses required to undertake?
If a room requires a “terminal clean”, is this performed by unit staff, or is there a designated team within the facility?
Any assistance with this information would be very much appreciated.
Thank you
