Dear All,
The Committee of the CJD Support Group Network would like to invite you to attend the 8th Annual National CJD Conference to be held at the Jasper Hotel in Melbourne on Saturday 14th November 2015. .
Thank you to those of you who have already registered. We appreciate your interest in this rare and fatal neurological disease. This conference is now less than 5 weeks ago so if you do want to register to attend please fill in the attached registration form, save to a file or desktop, and email back to contactus@cjdsupport.org.au
For those of you who are involved in the care of patients this conference is a great opportunity to meet with CJD family members, to understand more the needs of a patient with suspected CJD and their families and the difficulties that face those of us ‘at increased risk’ of developing CJD when accessing healthcare.
If your interest is in CJD and the infection control guidelines we will be presenting the draft of a handbook currently being produced by the CJDSGN ‘Practical Application to the CJD Infection Control Guidelines’. The handbook is designed as a tool for easier application of the guidelines and will provide step by step assistance and examples when a risk assessment is required.
The registration form, will all details, is attached and is also available on our website http://www.cjdsupport.org.au or you can call 1800 052466 to register or find out more.
This form can be downloaded, filled in and saved to a file or your desktop, then sent back to us as an email attachment – contactus@cjdsupport.org.au
For health care professionals this is an opportunity to learn more about CJD and other prion disease from Australian and overseas experts and share your experience and knowledge in areas of patient care and infection prevention and control.
We hope you can join us and look forward to welcoming you.
Please share this email with any colleague who may be interested in attending.
Best Wishes
