    Good afternoon brains trust,

We are a new facility opening and unfortunately we werent involved in the very initial design and development process. Therefore we have roller mesh blinds in all our patient rooms on our wards and clinical areas such as PACU.
I am currently writing our guideline for changing curtains and blinds in our facility and I am searching for some guidance on changing and/or cleaning of blinds specifically.

I believe that they should be spot cleaned when visibly soiled and changed after MRO patients, when gross contamination occurs or in outbreak situations etc but I am wondering if there is any information out in the ether that can support me on this?

Alternatively has anyone had to write a guideline on this that they are happy to share as an example?

It is a little tricky also as we are leasing the facility and we do not currently have a stockpile of spare blinds for during a changeover process.

    Any advice welcome and appreciated!

    Kind Regards,

    Lauren
