1 What bleach concentration do you use in your facilities?
2 Bleach concentration for cleaning additional precaution rooms, is this different if c.diff or gastro?

Hi Sam,
At Austin Health we use a cleaning/disinfection product with 1000 ppm sodium hypochlorite for all environmental cleaning in clinical areas. In addition we perform very detailed “super cleans” with a dedicated cleaning staff of our high risk patient areas 3 times a year – using this product. There is not a different chemical or method used for transmission based precaution rooms.Happy to discuss further offline if you wish.

Good morning Sam
We use a cleaning/disinfection product with 1000 ppm sodium hypochlorite for all environmental cleaning in clinical areas. Used on a daily basis for all rooms whether patients have precautions/MROs or not. For patients with MROs, on discharge we use a Nocospray machine (hypochlorite mist) post normal clean.
Toilets bleach is used daily

We use a cleaning/disinfection combined chlorine based tablet product at 1000ppm for all daily and discharge patient cleaning regardless of MROs including bathrooms and toilets. Public and staff toilets too.
