Hi,
Does anyone have any information on (urinary) catheterising bariatric patients in theatre prior to discharge to the ward in anticipation of immobility post op? For example, joint replacement patients? And does the risk of infection outweigh other potential risks post operatively?
And does anyone have another word to describe bariatric patients? Or a code when adding alerts to files?
Thanks,
Helen.
