    AVAS ASM 2016: 1st Scientific Meeting – Registrations Open / Call for Papers Reminder!

    Delegate Registration is now open for the Inaugural Australian Vascular Access Society’s (AVAS) First Scientific Meeting being held at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane, Qld. Australia on the 29 – 30 April 2016.

    We have received tremendous sponsorship and exhibitor support from leading health-care suppliers and strong attendance interest from health-care professionals across the globe.

    REGISTER NOW, and be one of the first to register for this inaugural AVAS First Scientific Meeting in Australia.

    * Early Bird registration rates are a low $250 for AVAS members and for non-members $360.
    * Membership to AVAS is just $150 per year. Why not join the society and register for the conference at the heavily discounted member rates, as well as receive all the benefits associated with AVAS membership?

    An interesting and diverse program is currently being developed by the Conference Scientific Committee with keynote presentations by:

    * VINEET CHOPRA, MD, MSc
    Dr. Chopra is an Asst Prof of Medicine and Research Scientist at the University of Michigan School of Medicine and the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center. A career Hospitalist, Dr. Chopra’s research is dedicated to improving the safety of hospitalised patients through prevention of hospital-acquired complications.
    * NANCY MOREAU, BSN, CRNI, CPUI, VA-BC
    Nancy Moureau is an internationally recognized speaker and expert in the field of PICCs and vascular access practice.
    * CLAIRE RICKARD, RN, PhD
    Professor Claire Rickard RN PhD, is the founder and Head of the Alliance for Vascular Access Teaching and Research (AVATAR Group). She is Chief Investigator B of the NHMRC Centre for Research Excellence in Nursing Interventions at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia.
    CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
    If you would like to present at the AVAS ASM 2016 conference it is not too late. We are still seeking submissions from those interested in presenting oral papers and static posters.

    Submissions are currently open, closing in just over one month’s time on the 1st December.
