    Hi All

For those who may have missed it there has recently been an updated
Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care Advisory on
“Reprocessing of reusable medical devices in health service organisations”,
Advisory number AS18/07, Version 7 March 2021 – see below and attached.

*Reprocessing reusable medical devices – updated advisory

    An updated
    Advisory
AS18/07 on the minimum requirements health service organisations must meet
when reprocessing reusable medical devices is now available. The updated
advisory clarifies the need for health service organisations to develop a
plan that addresses identified gaps in compliance against relevant national
or international standards for reprocessing of reusable medical devices.

It also specifies the timeframes for compliance. Extensions may be
considered for certain items (segregation of clean and dirty activities,
design of storage areas for sterile stock, and monitoring requirements for
water quality) and can be requested by completing the
    online
    form
