    AUS AID Job Opportunity

    AUS AID is seeking to recruit a short-term Infection Control Adviser, primarily in TB Infection
    Control, to undertake 21 days’ work at Daru hospital, in Western Province, PNG. They are
    working via JTA International who are supporting the AusAID-funded Health and HIV
    Implementation Services Provider (HHISP) in PNG
    HHISP is an AusAID-funded project providing support to the PNG health and HIV sectors,
    which is managed by JTA International in association with the Burnet Institute.
    We are seeking to recruit a short-term Infection Control Adviser to undertake 21 days’ work
    at Daru hospital, in Western Province, PNG. The focus is primarily on TB Infection control,
    but the work will involve a review of infection control practice generally at the hospital,
    development of an infection control manual and provision of training and development of a
    report with appropriate recommendations that can be implemented pending the construction
    of the new TB Ward.

    I’ve attached the Terms of Reference for the role [please contact Danieka for a copy – Moderator]. We are looking to recruit someone to start
    in the role as soon as possible, so I really appreciate you distributing this job opportunity

    For your info (and for applicants), the remuneration for the role is classified against AusAID’s
    Adviser Remuneration Framework as a B2 role (the framework is available at
    http://www.ausaid.gov.au/publications/pages/3994_1809_6357_1618_6763.aspx).

    However, to summarise, remuneration for the role would be as follows:
    * Daily professional fee of between AUD436 – AUD545
    * Daily perdiem of AUD130
    * Reimbursement of medical expenses (ie. vaccinations, etc) up to AUD500
    * Return flights to Daru, Western Province from candidate’s home base
    * Accommodation in Daru, Western Province booked and paid for by JTA
    * Full security briefing on arrival in PNG
    * Travel and medical insurance provided by JTA for duration of the
    assignment
    * JTA will arrange and pay for applicable PNG aid worker visa
