As/NZS 4187: 2003 section 7.1 asks for :
All stages of the sterilization process shall be developed and
documented to ensure that the items can be sterilized. The process shall
be reliably reproduced and routinely monitored to
the desired probability of a non-sterile item. Effective sterilization
of health care products includes many aspects.
These include the following:
(a) Cleaning.
(b) Inspection.
(c) Assembly.
(d) Packaging.
(e) Loading.
(f) Sterilization cycle.
(g) Calibration, routine monitoring and recording.
(h) Unloading.
(i) Storage.
(j) Distribution.
(k) Validation of the process.
I am looking for audit tools that cover the below monitoring
requirements:
* Monitoring correct loading/unloading of sterilizers
* Monitoring the cleaning process in CSSD
* Monitoring the inspection/assembly/packaging process
* Monitoring the calibration, routine monitoring and recording
process
* Monitoring sterile storage
* Monitoring the distribution process
If someone has an audit schedule that we could use too that would be
fantastic.
