    Good morning,

    My names Rebekah Cox, Im working with APNA on the APNA Transition to Practice Pilot Program.

    The APNA Transition to Practice Pilot Program is a 12 month transition program, with the aim of increasing the confidence, skills and knowledge of nurses, commencing work in primary health care settings including:

    Community health i.e. nurses working in local council areas or private community health
    Aboriginal Health Services
    Aged care
    Correctional health
    General practice and many more

    APNA is looking for applications from two groups of nurses who are currently working in primary health care:

    1. Transitioning Nurses

    Registered or Enrolled Nurses who are new to primary health care (may be graduate or experienced nurses transitioning from another area of health care)

    2. Clinical and Professional Mentors

    Experienced primary health care Registered Nurses, who want to provide support to these new nurses as a clinical and professional mentor

    APNAs Transition to Practice Pilot Program is a 12 month transition support program for nurses new to primary health care settings such as community health, aged care, correctional health, general practice and more.

    We are inviting nurses new to these settings and experienced primary health care nurses to be their mentors, to
    apply.
