Dear all,
I thought you might be interested in this recent article listed by Medscape Nurses that came through this morning.
“Antibiotic resistance ‘catastrophic’: UK Official”. It states that there is a real perceived threat for the future for even patients undergoing minor surgery being at risk of dying from infections because we will no longer have effective antibiotic treatment. ….Increasing surveillance to keep track of drug-resistant superbugs, prescribing fewer antibiotics and making sure they are only prescribed when needed, and ensuring better hygiene to keep infections to a minimum were equally important”, Sally Davies the chief medical officer for England stated.
Again highlights the importance of AMS.
