The Manager, Infection Prevention and Control will provide subject matter expertise in infection control and prevention in the pre-hospital setting, enabling access to expert advice and guidance for the workforce.
Working with the National Standards Accreditation Lead, the position will provide support to the infection prevention and control activities that maximise staff and patient safety during patient care. This will include the development and implementation of a robust Infection Prevention and Control Plan for Ambulance Victoria.
The Manager, Infection Prevention and Control will be responsible for consulting with relevant stakeholders to develop fit for purpose infection prevention and control related policies, procedures, education program content and patient information. The position will be responsible for the monitoring of the effectiveness of the strategies and processes that are instituted as part of the AV Infection Prevention and Control Plan.
