Alcohol Hand Gel and Gloves

I have seen this practice in our hospital although rarely, and have had some interesting reasons given to me. I immediately inform staff it is wrong and they are reducing their barrier efficacy both to the patient and themselves. They would also be counted as a missed when auditing hand hygiene.
