Infection Control During Construction,
Renovation & Maintenance: a simulated training workshop
Conducted by: Glenys Harrington RN, RM CID, Infection Control
Consultancy, Melbourne (expert in infection control and renovation
management in the healthcare setting)
This workshop will be of interest for infection control practitioners,
engineers, architects and builders working in the healthcare setting.
The workshop focuses on strategies for the prevention of infection in
patients, staff and visitors during times of environmental disturbance,
caused by construction, renovation and repair activities in the
healthcare setting including:
– infection control risks;
– at risk construction activities;
– conducting a risk assessment; and
– conducting a site inspection.10.15am for 10.30am (concluding by 4.40pm)
