ACIPC REPRESENTATION for ACSQHC MRGN TASKFORCE
Applications are invited for 2 ACIPC representatives to participate in
an Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Healthcare taskforceDear Colleagues,
The Healthcare Advisory Committee has recommended to the Commission that
a taskforce be established to develop priorities and recommendations
regarding Multi Resistant Gram Negative (MRGN) organism detection,
surveillance, and containment.ACIPC has been invited to nominate 2 representative/s to participate in
a short term ACSQHC (MRGN) taskforce that will be held via
teleconference on at least 2 dates to be advised.Selection criteria: Applications will be assessed against the following
selection criteria:Essential:
Financial members ACIPC
Contemporary knowledge of the topic demonstrated by participation
in local, state or national policy development related to MRGNsInvolvement in education of healthcare workers regarding
antibiotic stewardship programs, capacity building, clinical management
or implementation of infection control guidelines related to MRGNsACIPC/AICA Credentialed member
Desirable:
Current involvement in facilities affected by MRGNs or
facilities involved in surveillance of MRGNsIneligible:
Representatives of State and Territory Health Departments
Representatives from industry
Members of the ACSQHC HAI related committees (Representation
already sought from these groups)How to apply?
Interested applicants are invited to submit a written application to
ACIPC. The application must:Address all of the above selection criteria.
Provide a brief summarised CV (1 page)Lodgement of all applications:
Applications must be submitted electronically no later than Wednesday
10.00am February 8th 2012 to: admin@aica.org.auFurther Information: ACIPC appointed representatives will be required to
provide a report to the Executive Council at completion of the meetings.
