[Posted on behalf of ACIPC Secretariat – Moderator]

This is an opportunity for all interested ACIPC members to become involved in the shaping and organisation of our next national conference to be held in Darwin Monday 30th September – Wednesday 2nd October 2013.

The Australasian College for Infection Prevention and Control (ACIPC) will be holding a two day annual conference at the Darwin Convention Centre, preceded by practice-related themed workshops. The conference organising committee will be responsible for working with the appointed professional conference organising team (PCO) ASHM to ensure a well rounded and challenging program and Australasian event. This is your chance to have a say and be involved in showcasing ACIPC.

This organising committee is under the auspices of the ACIPC Education and Research Committee and will comprise of 5 to 6 members. Meetings will be held via teleconference. This expression of interest is open to all College members throughout Australasia. Why not think about it and give it a go!

In becoming part of the conference organising committee we would need from you:

    1. Commitment and availability to attend teleconference meetings (minimum of monthly – dates flexible at this stage).
    2. Enthusiasm and imagination in designing a conference program and schedule to meet the needs of the delegates attending ACIPC 2013.
    3. Ability to work proactively within the organising committee and with the appointed PCO to think outside the square and meet designated time frames.
    4. Desire to get things done and provide a great platform for showcasing Infection Prevention and Control throughout Australasia.

Expressions of interest close on Monday 1st October 2012:

We would love to hear from you. For more information please contact:
    admin@acipc.org.au or call (07) 3211 4695.

The success of the College is dependent on engagement of the membership and your participation in our activities is vital to growth and innovation.
