Hi Deborah
Have just been through 2 re-accreditations in the past month. Whilst there was minimal focus on COVID-19 during the visits the expectation is that the OMP is reflective of your jurisdictional requirements as they stand currently and based on your site specific risk profile- ie number of consumers fully vaccinated, shared amenities. Familiarise yourself with the Commission’s COVID-19 resources- in particular the IPC checklist- probably as good place as any to start from. They asked the name of the IPC lead but not any evidence of quals. They will observe your entry screening process. The Dept of Health’s fortnightly webinars are a helpful way to stay abreast of this rapidly moving feast.
Kind Regards
Perri Waddell (RN; MACN; BDem UTAS; GCert-IPC Griffith; MClinNur-Gerontology ECU; P-ICP ACIPC)
