    Dear all,

In the new hospital currently being built in Adelaide, there will be a fixed bench bed, which can accommodate a visitor to stay overnight in the patient’s room. The new design of the inpatient bedroom, along with Central Adelaide Local Health Network’s recognition of family carers as partners in care, formalises overnight visitor arrangements in the new RAH and is a significant shift for staff and patients/carers to understand and manage.

I am asking if any ICPs have an organisational wide procedure on managing this accommodation in their facility and would you be prepared to share the procedure? We would also acknowledge the source when the procedure is developed.

Happy to discuss this off line if that helps.

    Kind Regards
