    Dear Colleagues,
    Registration is now open at http://www.aicaconference.org.au for the 6th Biennial Australian Infection Control Conference, 4-6 October 2010, Perth WA.
    Register online now to take advantage of the discounted earlybird registration rates. The Organising and Scientific Committees have structured the biennial conference around the theme, “2010 Infection Control Odyssey”. We will take you on an eventful journey to examine the science and practice of infection prevention and control. The journey will begin by highlighting the successful accomplishments of the past ten years and travel forward to present research and innovative strategies that will define infectionprevention and control in the coming decade.     Four weeks left to submit an abstract for the 6th Biennial Australian Infection Control Conference
    In keeping with the Conference theme ‘Infection Control Odyssey’, abstracts are now invited for oral and poster presentations on the following topics:
    *Sustainable infection control programs into the future
    *Implementing evidence-based practice and affecting change
    *Antimicrobial resistance, stewardship and future influences
    *Advances in laboratory diagnostics
    *Infection prevention and control across the healthcare continuum
    *Environmental/engineering controls
    *Innovative technologies
    *Reducing infection risks and improving client safety
    *The science of compliance and novel approaches
    *Tropical diseases – new and re-emerging issues
