Register now for this FREE Webinar: Surface to Patient: Evidence-based Insights on the Spread of Pathogens and AMR
Healthcare facilities constantly battle HAIs caused by multidrug-resistant organisms (MDRO). This webinar, co-hosted by GAMA Healthcare and ACIPC, delves into the critical role of environmental surfaces in transmission and explores evidence-based strategies for reducing HAIs to fight AMR.
The webinar will cover:
- Understanding the role of contaminated surfaces in HAI transmission within hospitals and long-term care facilities.
- Exploring the risk of acquiring MDRO from colonised patients’ rooms.
- Examining the relationship between environmental microbial burden and HAI rates.
- Learning methods to quantify bacterial transfer events between patients and their environment.
- Gaining evidence-based recommendations for patient room cleaning and disinfection protocols to reduce HAIs.
- Learning about disinfectants and antiseptics: tolerance, resistance, and potential impact on antibiotic resistance.
