About
The Infection Prevention and Control Unit comprises a team of dedicated nursing staff working with the Infectious Diseases medical staff to minimise infection risks for patients, health care workers, and the general public.
The IPCU strives for excellence. We strive to achieve this through ongoing programs including staff and public education, policy development and review, and surveillance of hospital-acquired infections; key input in location and equipping of new or redesigned clinical areas; outbreak management; and promotion of hand-hygiene and other infection control techniques.
