Ongoing Full Time Role
Peter Mac has an exciting opportunity for an Infection Prevention Manager to join the team, leading the development, promotion and implementation of a best practice program to prevent and control risks for healthcare-associated infections in patients with cancer. This ongoing fulltime role will report to the Medical Director for Infection Prevention and have close collaborative working relationships with clinical departments across the organisation and relevant external organisations (e.g. Department of Health, VICNISS).
With a focus on optimal care for high-risk patients, the incumbent will hold in-depth knowledge of national and international infection prevention standards, be capable of implementing novel infection prevention initiatives, and have demonstrated leadership in response to emergent threats.
The successful applicant will hold extensive health service experience in managing infection prevention programs (>5 years), demonstrated capacity to lead and foster a team environment, relevant post-graduate qualifications in infection prevention, and a proven research record. Previous roles in service provision for immunocompromised populations will be of benefit.
