As the peak body for infection prevention and control in the region, ACIPC is committed to being the voice for best-practice IPC across all settings. The College is proud to provide advocacy support on issues of importance to our members and our strategic vision. Our directors, committee members, and IPC consultant staff regularly interact with a variety of organisations including state and federal governments, healthcare facilities, other health and IPC organisations, tertiary education institutions, and industry.

ACIPC supports Green College Guidelines

The ACIPC Board of Directors recently committed to supporting Doctors for the Environment Australia’s Green College Guidelines, produced to facilitate practical and affordable organisational initiatives and improvements.

ACIPC recognises the importance of sustainability in healthcare, a sector which makes up around 7% of the country’s national carbon footprint. The College’s five-year ACIPC Strategy & Implementation Plan 2023-28 identifies sustainability in healthcare as a key strategic opportunity for the College.

We join fellow organisations such as the AMA, the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, and the Australian Nursing & Midwifery Federation (VIC) etc in endorsing these guidelines.
