Hi Amanda, I would definitely insist they be removed. I have a medic alert bracelet that I cannot wear at work as per guidelines, and I feel the silicone bands are far less important than that.
Theres always push-backs, but the guidelines are there for a reason.
Good luck

Hello everyone
Im wanting your thoughts on silicone wrist braces and being able to maintain correct hand hygiene. I have been reinforcing to staff that they need to be bare below the elbow and I have had some push back with someone personal care worker wanting to wear a silicone wrist brace. I would really appreciate any information and to hear what others are doing .

Warm Regards
